Threadless

Posted by: daffy501 on: Sunday, May 20, 2007

I can’t believe this wasn’t actually the first things I blogged about. All you guys know how much I love Threadless. But for those of you who may not be familiar with it, here’s a short summary of what Threadless is.

It’s a community in which you can submit art/designs that can be made into something wearable like t-shirts and hoodies. Since Threadless has about 500,000 registered users to date, all submissions are voted on by the community themselves. And as an incentive, what started back in the day as $50 for prize money is now up to $2000. Threadless is always growing and adding things that the community wants. In a nutshell, it’s a cool place to hang and get awesome t-shirts.

I found this video on one of theĀ Threadless blogs submitted by user “I carnt spel.” For those of you interested in how a company like Threadless started as doing it just for fun grew into a money making machine while all the while keeping intact their original fun and awesomeness, view the video below
